Good morning football fans
Liverpool defeated Leicester 2-0 at Anfield and piled some more pressure on under-fire Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers.
Diogo Jota led the Reds to victory with two goals, one on 34 minutes and another after 87 minutes, on Mohamed Salah’s return.
Arsenal managed a stressful 1-0 victory over Wolves at Molineux thanks to Gabriel Magalhaes’ winner in the 25th minute.
The Gunners lost Gabriel Martinelli on 69 minutes when he picked up two reckless yellow cards within just a few seconds apart.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have made a major contract offer to Antonio Rudiger in a bid to stop him from leaving in the summer.
Rudiger has reportedly turned down a £140,000-a-week offer earlier in the campaign.
According to GOAL, the Blues have now offered the star centre-back closer to £200,000-a-week.
The Germany international’s contract expires in June and has attracted interest from around Europe.
And West Ham ace Kurt Zouma’s brother Yoan has been suspended by Dagenham & Redbridge.
This is after Yoan filmed Kurt kicking and slapping his own cat while the former laughed in the background.
The non-league team issued the following statement: “The Club would like to give a further update on its player, Yoan Zouma.
“Yoan was this week contacted by the RSPCA to assist in their investigation and is fully cooperating with them.
“However, Dagenham & Redbridge FC would again like to reiterate that it condemns any form of cruelty towards animals and fully understands the reaction of many of its supporters.
“The Club has therefore decided that until the RSPCA has completed its investigations, Yoan will not play for Dagenham & Redbridge in any competitive match.
“Any further action deemed necessary to be taken will be made at the conclusion of the RSPCA investigation.”
Finally, Spain boss Luis Enrique has reportedly emerged as another contender for the Manchester United job this summer.
According to ESPN, Enrique has joined Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino on United’s shortlist.
However, neither the Spanish head coach or Pochettino are favourite to replace interim boss Ralf Rangnick.
United players appear desperate for ex-Tottenham manager Pochettino to take charge due to his Premier League experience.
However, reports suggest the Argentine is also targeted by Real Madrid.
And Enrique is emerging as a viable candidate following his stunning success at Barcelona.
