GOOD MORNING UNITED FANS
Raphael Varane will officially be announced as a Manchester United player TODAY after completing his medical yesterday.
United now face a race against the clock to get Varane registered in time for their Premier League opener against Leeds on Saturday.
The 28-year-old World Cup winner joins on an initial £34million deal that could be worth up to £42million with add-ons.
And Manchester United have ended their interest in Kieran Trippier, according to reports.
The Red Devils were linked with a £30million switch for the Atletico Madrid star throughout the summer as they looked to bolster their defence.
But the Mirror report that their interest has now cooled.
Manchester United are no longer interested in selling star Anthony Martial.
According to Sky Sports, the Red Devils have ‘no intention’ of selling Martial this summer, with the 25-year-old thought to be part of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans after returning from injury against Everton in pre-season.
He’s been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, but a transfer no longer seems to be on the card with the Frenchman ready to prove his worth this season.
And finally Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard could still leave the club this summer, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The 28-year-old was linked with a move back to West Ham, where he had a successful loan spell last season, before rumours cooled.
But now it seems a potential deal is back on the table with United keen to recoup some of the £100million+ spent on Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.
