Bet of the Day – Sheffield United to beat Sunderland @ 13/10

Sheffield United finished a whopping 16 points ahead of Sunderland in the Championship regular season and the Blades can show the gap in class in the play-off finale. 

Had it not been for exceptional 100-point tallies from Leeds United and Burnley, Chris Wilder’s men would have secured automatic promotion to the Premier League and Sunderland are unlikely to stop the Steel City side. 

The Blades breezed past Bristol City 6-0 on aggregate in the play-off semi-finals and it was a two-leg contest where they didn’t have to reach their physical or mental peak. 

In contrast, Sunderland were put under the pump in a 3-2 success over Coventry City and in truth the Black Cats were probably second best in those semi-final matches. 

At 13/10, Wilder’s men look a good bet to win Saturday’s Wembley showdown in 90 minutes. 

Special of the Day – Over 3.5 goals in Aberdeen v Celtic @ 6/5 

The Scottish Cup final sets up a tie between Celtic and Aberdeen and it’s understandable that the Premiership champions are 2/7 to get the better of the Reds at Hampden Park. 

Celtic collected 39 more top-flight points than Aberdeen this season and, if that wasn’t enough to indicate the dominance of the Bhoys, Brendan Rodgers’ men have inflicted some heavy defeats on the Dons this term. 

The Hoops beat Aberdeen 6-0 in the League Cup semi-finals at Hampden and the latest two meetings between the sides have finished 5-1 in favour of Celtic. 

Of course, this is a one-off contest, in which Aberdeen will hope to cause an upset and perhaps there is a glimmer of hope. 

Celtic have struggled in Old Firm matches this season, twice losing to Rangers in the league and they needed a penalty shootout following a 3-3 draw with the Gers in the League Cup final. 

Aberdeen aren’t at the level of the Light Blues, but the Dons can have hopes of finding the of Saturday. 

Backing over 3.5 goals would cover a comfortable Celtic success and also be boosted should Aberdeen hit the target. 

Longshot of the Day – Real Sociedad to beat Real Madrid @ 5/1

Real Madrid have lost the La Liga title to Barcelona and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if Los Blancos weren’t at their peak in the final contest of the campaign on Saturday. 
Manager Carlo Ancelotti will be departing the Bernabeu at the end of the season and, at 5/1, it could pay to back Real Sociedad to spoil the Italian’s send-off.
