Chelsea could also splash out again to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde and there are reports in Germany that Erling Haaland may leave Borussia Dortmund earlier than expected.

West Ham also look set to make at least one signing before the transfer window closes next week, with the club in talks with Chelsea over a deal for Kurt Zouma, but they do have a Plan B.
