Mo Salah gets nod for Liverpool but Man United dominate all-time combined XI

They are two of the most iconic clubs in English football and have boasted some incredible players over the years.

It is an almost impossible task trying to pick an all-time combined XI but that’s exactly what we asked ex-England striker and talkSPORT host Darren Bent to do ahead of Sunday’s latest meeting between the old rivals.

Luckily for us, he was happy to oblige… and he made some interesting choices with no place for Nemanja Vidic, Jamie Carragher or Ryan Giggs.

The team contains eight United players – although that’s not exactly surprising given the Red Devils have won 13 Premier League titles compared to Liverpool’s one.
