Manchester United talisman Bruno Fernandes has been pictured wearing a protective boot ahead of his side’s trip to Tottenham.
The 28-year-old hobbled off during extra-time with a suspected injury in United’s FA Cup semi-final victory over Brighton on Sunday.
Fernandes’ wife, Ana Pinho, posted a photo of the midfielder wearing a protective boot on Instagram, while a pair of crutches were also visible.
The player can be seen lying on the sofa with a mug in his hand and his right foot propped up on pillows.
It is certainly a worry for United fans, with Fernandes’ wife captioning the picture with the word ‘recharging’.
It now looks as though Erik ten Hag could be without another key man, having already lost Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane to injury.
Thursday’s clash between Spurs and Man United is one that could could define whether the Red Devils will secure a top-four place.
While Tottenham were thrashed 6-1 by Newcastle on Sunday, they boast one of the best home records in the Premier League, winning 11 of 16 games.
A victory would move them just three points behind Man United in the race for Champions League football next season.
Fernandes netted in the 2-0 win over Spurs back in October, a game where Cristiano Ronaldo made the headlines after storming down the tunnel at full-time.
After winning the Carabao Cup, United can complete a domestic double by beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final on June 3.
