Cristiano Ronaldo became football’s all-time top goalscorer as he scored a hat-trick to help Manchester United to a 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
That win put Ralf Rangnick’s side into fourth spot in the Premier League, two points above Arsenal who have four games in hand.
They didn’t have it all their own way, however, with Tottenham causing plenty of problems including a first half penalty that was converted by Harry Kane and an own goal from Harry Maguire to put the hosts on edge.
However Ronaldo stole the show as his trio of goals put him above Josef Bican to write his name firmly in football history.
