Real Madrid have reportedly set their sights on signing both Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham this summer.
Los Blancos are keen to bring in new young stars for their already talented squad.
Bellingham is a player who has attracted the interest of Europe’s elite clubs, with Liverpool and Manchester City heavily linked.
However, the Independent reports that Madrid believe they are the favourites to sign the 19-year-old this summer from Borussia Dortmund.
The club have already held meetings with his team over a potential move, with the midfielder shining for both his club and England.
As well as Bellingham, Madrid are eyeing Haaland as their replacement for Karim Benzema.
Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe was once the club’s top target, and president Florentino Perez wanted to sign him and Haaland together.
However, Mbappe decided to stay in Paris last summer, a decision that caused tension between him and the Spanish side.
As a result, Perez wants to test the waters with City over their star striker Haaland, who has scored 33 goals so far this season.
The Norwegian is happy at the Etihad Stadium but, there is sense that he is not the type of player to remain at one club for a long period of time.
Madrid also believe they can use City’s uncertain future stemmed from their alleged Premier League breaches to help convince a move to happen.
Madrid may also see a change of personnel when it comes to the manager as Carlo Ancelotti could leave at the end of the campaign.
The Champions League holders are second in La Liga, nine points behind rivals Barcelona.
