A Fulham fan has tragically died after suffering a heart attack in the stands at Craven Cottage.

In the first-half of the Whites’ Championship clash against Blackpool, Paul Parish collapsed in the Hammersmith End of the ground.

The match was halted for 41 minutes a medics from both clubs rushed to his aid before Parish was taken from the stand on a stretcher and transferred to an ambulance to be taken to the hospital.

The west London club confirmed the tragic news that Parish had passed away later on Saturday.

“It is with immense sadness that we inform fans of the passing of supporter, Paul Parish,” read a tweet on Fulham’s official Twitter page.

“Paul suffered a cardiac arrest and received treatment in the stand at this afternoon’s match before being transferred to hospital.

“Our condolences go out to Paul’s loved ones.”

Tom Cairney, Fulham’s captain, also tweeted his condolences.

“Just heard the devastating news rest in peace Paul Parish you’ll be a part of the Fulham family forever,” wrote Cairney.
