England will be desperate to secure their first Nations League win at the fourth attempt when they host Hungary this week.

Gareth Southgate’s side drew 0-0 with Italy in an underwhelming match in League A Group 3 on Saturday, leaving the team winless in three games after the 1-0 Hungary defeat and 1-1 Germany draw.

Meanwhile, since that impressive win over England, the Magyars fell to a narrow defeat to Italy before also securing a draw against the Germans.

The Three Lions are currently sitting bottom of their group and should that continue they will face relegation.

England vs Hungary: What has been said?

Harry Maguire has called for England fans to again throw their full support behind the Three Lions in the coming months ahead of the World Cup.

“I know we drew 0-0, but there’s positives to take, lots of good performances,” Maguire told talkSPORT’s Faye Carruthers after the Italy draw.

“Obviously lots of areas to improve as well. We take the positives and we work on the areas to improve. We know we can do better

“Over the last three game we’ve scored one goal.

“And the chances that we’ve created warrant a lot more than one goal, so we’ve gotta be a little bit more clinical.”
