Dozens of people have been badly injured after being crushed in a stampede in South Korea.
According to the country’s Yonhap news agency, those injured were crushed by a large crowd pushing forward on a narrow street during Halloween festivities in Seoul.
Emergency officials received at least 81 calls from people in the Itaewon area saying they were having difficulty breathing.
Yonhap put the number of people injured at about 50.
Seoul’s mayor Oh Se-hoon is visiting Europe but has decided to return home following the news.
