As the Citizens squad celebrated together, the club’s supporters congregated to their stadium to revel in their triumph.

But some were clearly in a cheeky mood, as they wrote Arsenal‘s name on see-through plastic bottles.

It represents Arsenal’s collapse since April, with Mikel Arteta stating after the City Ground loss that he takes ‘responsibility’ for their downfall.

Arsenal, who were at one point leading City by eight points, enjoyed 248 days at the top of the table.

It is the most amount of time a team has led the Premier League without managing to win the title.

While some fans took the time to poke fun at the north Londoners, others were just enjoying the moment with loved ones and friends.

Flares were also let off as supporters celebrated the first part of a potential historic treble.

The Citizens face rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final on June 3, before battling Inter Milan in the Champions League final the following week.

The European Cup is the only major trophy that has eluded Pep Guardiola since he took charge of the club in 2016.

But he will be fully aware of the achievement he has set with City, who have now won the Premier League in five out of the last six years.

And you can be sure there will be a party atmosphere at the Etihad on Sunday when City host Chelsea.
