BRIGHTON vs Crystal Palace had a delay in play because the floodlights went out.
The Seagulls were leading their rivals 1-0 when the lights stopped working at the beginning of the second half.
In response fans turned on the flashlight on their phones and began waving them in the air.
Referee Peter Bankes also fell victim to the electronic failure as his mic stopped working.
The scoreboard also failed during the few minutes of blackout.
Fortunately, the matter was resolved fairly quickly and play was able to resume.
Fans watching at home quickly made light of the situation and joked at Brighton’s expense.
One wrote: “Brighton need to put 50p in the meter.”
Another added: “Brighton had some IT issues so they switched it off and back on again.”
